One type of vivarium that is often associated with a fish aquarium, although sometimes is kept by itself, is a Paludarium. This type of vivarium is often associated with the rainforest and includes many plants, flowers, and other types of plant wildlife that is found in the rainforest. When thinking about having this form of vivarium in your house or office, issues such as lighting and correct materials are often considered. For a Paludarium, artificial and specialized lighting if often needed to help the plants and other rainforest wildlife grow.
